Rubber mat

Slick floors can make a dog having joint issues reluctant to move around much. There are many ways to make a tile floor easier to walk on. Rugs or floor runners are a great option as long as they have a rubber backing to grip the floor to avoid sliding out from under your dog. Foam floor mats are a good second option.

You can also use socks and shoes with rubber gripping on the bottom to help your pet in the house and outside. They come in a variety of styles and colors so your pet will look great too!

Easier Access
Dog

If your pet sleeps on the couch or in the bed with you it will be difficult for them to jump up to their normal comfy spots. There is a wide variety of stairs and ramps on the market today to accommodate not only your decor but your pet's size as well. Ramps are also great for helping larger dogs in and out of the car.

It's important that your dog be able to go to the bathroom without discomfort. Dogs may have urinary leakage problems, potty pads placed around their bed can help if they are unable to make it outside.

Most dog beds are soft but you want to make sure it is supportive as well. There are pet beds available that are similar to orthopedic mattresses for people. Location is also important. If your dog is having trouble with stairs place the bed on the first floor.
